Digital Switchover
The whole of the UK is switching to digital television, bringing us all more choice in entertainment and a range of new services. The switch will happen regionally, between 2008 and 2012. The North West region will switch to being fully digital in October 2009 and we are here to assure that your switch runs smoothly.
With access to a clear digital TV signal, you can have access to approximately 70 Digital TV & Radio channels, as well as pay for selected digital channels. This will bring you a whole new variety of entertainment, sport, current affairs and interactive channels, as well as music radio and TV for free!
If you currently receive just five channels, BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 - or only some of these - you will need to consider all options. Contrary to popular belief, you won't necessarily need a new TV in order to view digital broadcasts, however you may require a new aerial and you will require a digital box.
Switch On To Digital & Freeview TV
There are a number of options to receive the Freeview Digital TV services, with no need to replace your current TV set. Currently, the most common choice to receive digital signals is to have a digital TV aerial installed at your property, along with a digital receiver box. There is no requirement to replace your television, however if you do wish to update your television set, you could purchase a television with an inbuilt digital receiver, and HD capability.
